Job Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, caregiving, and guidance to children and young persons, ensuring their physical and psychological well-being.
  • Support the smooth daily operations of the Home by maintaining a safe, clean, healthy, and therapeutic living environment.Assist the Anchor in conducting Emotional Regulation Drills to help residents manage distress and impulsive behaviours.
  • Support residents with daily personal routines, including dressing, grooming, meals, and personal hygiene.
  • Ensure residents attend school and scheduled programmes.
  • Account for residents’ movements and update records in the Home Management System.
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with residents through companionship and consistent engagement.
  • Practise Trauma-Informed Care, encouraging and reinforcing positive behaviour.
  • Support discipline and upkeep of bedrooms, dormitories, and common areas.
  • Plan and coordinate residents’ daily routines and activities.
  • Escort and supervise residents to school, clinics, hospitals, and external programmes.
  • Ensure residents take their prescribed medication as required.
  • Monitor residents’ well-being and report incidents, concerns, or medical issues promptly.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and complete required reports.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels
  • Fluent in English.
  • Working hours: 1pm – 7pm (to be deployed on selected weekdays, Saturday and Sunday)
  • Passionate, patient, and committed to working with children and young persons.
  • Able to work independently with a pleasant disposition and strong teamwork skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to provide emotional support.
  • Strong morals, ethics, and a genuine commitment to child welfare.
  • Able to work flexible hours, in case of urgent roster needs (contingent on staff’s availability) including short-notice deployment when required.
  • Physically fit to supervise and manage residents with challenging behaviours
