About the Role
As a Radiation Therapist, you will integrate theoretical and clinical knowledge, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to provide safe and accurate radiation treatment with compassion. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, Medical Dosimetrist and Oncology Nurses within Division of Radiation Oncology to deliver the best care for patients undergoing Radiation Treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and accurate radiation treatment through proper operation of radiotherapy and ancillary equipment by complying with radiation safety measures and observing practice standards.
- Provides good individual patients' care and services with regards to routine radiotherapy and pre-treatment procedures.
- Perform daily quality assurance checks and ensure that treatment machines, accessories and other supportive equipment are in good working order.
- Assist and work with senior radiation therapists/ dosimetrists in the fabrication of immobilization devices and treatment accessories, CT-simulation, treatment planning, external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy.
- Participate in quality improvement in enhancing treatment techniques and workflow and participate actively in continuous education and self-development.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Radiotherapy or equivalent with minimum 3 years of working experience in related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a good ability in writing.
- Team player, meticulous and possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
