Purchasing Assistant / Buyer

Salary: $2,400 – $2,800
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:45pm
Working Location: Woodlands

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the purchasing function.
• Check purchasing documents to ensure correctness and adequacy.
• Prepare, issue and monitor requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring purchase order balances are accurate and parts are provided on time.
• Follow up on purchases to ensure timely delivery. Collect and check delivery performance of automotive vendors.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
• Recommend quality improvement measures to immediate superior.
• Prepare material plans.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure quality parts are delivered and to maintain continuous material flow according to production requirements.
• Visit suppliers when needed to verify and check any problems or issues related to delivery.
• Coordinate and act as a mediator between suppliers and planners regarding forecast and delivery plans, according to customer-required quantity and schedule.
• Monitor material inventory and ensure safe stock levels are maintained according to customer forecast and production schedule.
