Lab Technologist (Network & Quality)

App / Tech Functions:

• Laboratory Testing & Quality Control - Conduct routine testing and analysis on raw materials, formulations, packaging, in-process and finished products (including HPLC/GC operation); record and report results accurately; flag out-of-specification results and support investigations and corrective/preventive actions and safety & housekeeping at Lab to workplace.

• Equipment Operation & Maintenance – Operate laboratory equipment safely and correctly; perform routine cleaning, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting; maintain equipment usage, maintenance, and calibration records.

• Production, Systems & AI Tool Support – Ensure lab results and quality data are properly recorded and communicated to production; support the use of laboratory/quality software, AI applications, improve efficiency and data analysis, maintaining company’s network and systems to website

• Quality & Process Monitoring – Perform quality checks throughout production to verify compliance with approved specifications; monitor quality parameters, identify process deviations, and escalate concerns to relevant departments.

• Audits, Certification &Documentation – Maintain accurate, traceable laboratory and QC records and reports; support internal/external audits and certification requirements; prepare documents and evidence for audits and inspections.

* Some awareness in Halal and Kosher certification requirements, audit documentation, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of MUIS halal standards and Bahasa Melayu communication skills are advantageous due to stakeholder engagement requirements

• Other Duties – Work collaboratively with Quality, Applications, Production, and other departments; perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

1 Minimum a diploma background, preference in IT/network (hardware to software) and/or from a science background with IT interest.

2 Highly familiar with food ingredients and experience in formulations of ingredients, additives, premixes and emulsions, can also apply. At least some experience in application related to flavor / color / bioactive ingredients.

3 Strong in IT skills like Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access. Having web design /maintenance skills will be a big plus, however, not essential for the role.

4 Will require interactions with internal and external facing and at least bilingual in spoken and written in English and Mandarin and/or another language and a strong drive and self-motivation and ability to learn in a fast pace working environment.
