Job Description & Requirements

The Sales and Marketing Director will lead commercial strategy and business growth across the Group's medical device and healthcare portfolio. The role will drive sales and marketing performance, develop strategic partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and expand market share across the region.

The ideal candidate must have strong medical device industry experience and a proven regional track record in commercial leadership, data-driven decision-making, and sales performance management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and market growth.
• Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance frameworks across markets.
• Build strong relationships with principals, suppliers, healthcare institutions, and key stakeholders.
• Identify new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities.

2. Sales Excellence & Data Analytics

• Establish and strengthen Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) frameworks to improve sales productivity and accountability.
• Develop and maintain sales dashboards and performance reporting to provide clear visibility of commercial performance.
• Analyse sales, customer, product, and market data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Use data and insights to drive business decisions, resource allocation, and sales strategy.
• Partner with Country Directors and Business Unit Managers to improve sales execution and performance.

3. Product & Business Development

• Identify, evaluate, and introduce new medical device products and solutions.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, business cases, and commercial plans for new products.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and industry developments.
• Strengthen principal relationships and expand the Group's product portfolio.
• Lead product launches, training, and commercial readiness.

4. Marketing & Operational Excellence

• Drive demand generation, branding, educational, and promotional initiatives.
• Improve commercial processes, CRM utilisation, and sales effectiveness.
• Drive digitalisation, automation, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and performance excellence.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Proven experience in the medical devices industry.
• Strong commercial and sales leadership experience.
• Experience developing SFE frameworks, sales dashboards, and performance KPIs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
• Experience managing principals, distributors, healthcare institutions, and key stakeholders.
• Regional experience, particularly in Malaysia and the Philippines, is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the medical device market, customers, and commercial environment.
