Job Summary

You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the Welfare Homes, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors through effective cleaning and facility support tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of dormitories, toilets, dining areas, and common spaces to ensure a safe environment
• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, washing, vacuuming, and disinfecting to uphold facility standards
• Clean residents’ beds, furniture, and equipment regularly to support resident comfort and health
• Dispose of rubbish and recyclable waste properly following established guidelines to maintain sanitation
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and store tools securely after use to prevent hazards
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to ensure timely resolution
• Assist with facility-related tasks such as moving furniture and setting up areas to support operational needs
• Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors through teamwork
• Perform other housekeeping or facility duties as assigned by the Superintendent to meet operational requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

Work Location The Welfare Homes provide care for destitute persons, located at either Admiralty Street or Buangkok Green.

• Acacia Home: Seven-storey facility with 250 beds for male destitute persons, located at Admiralty Street
• Tembusu Home at Pelangi Village: Seven-storey facility with 190 beds for male destitute persons, located at Buangkok Green
