Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to support the execution of turn-key cable infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will assist in various project phases, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing all phases of cable infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, trenching, cable laying, jointing, and testing.
• Support in preparing invoices, progress reports, and necessary documentation.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Report to and take instructions from the Project Manager
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safe work practices.
• Prepare incident reports and assist in the preparation of Operation & Maintenance (OMM) manuals upon project completion.
• Assist in any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Min 5 years experience with a strong passion for engineering are encouraged to apply or relevant experience in project engineering within the electrical or civil engineering sectors.
• Understanding of the practical application of engineering principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
