Business Analyst (Trade Finance)

About this job

  • Work closely with Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime, Sales, and local Trade Finance teams to understand business processes, operational requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Assist in preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process maps, gap analyses, and other project deliverables.
  • Support workshops and discussions with business and technology stakeholders to identify business needs, implementation considerations, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Participate in fit-gap assessments to evaluate business requirements against platform capabilities and identify required process adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system solutions and implementation plans.
  • Assist with preparation, execution, and documentation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including
  • Development of test scenarios and test cases
  • Coordination of test execution with business users
  • Documentation and follow-up of defects and enhancement requests
  • Validation of testing outcomes against business requirements
  • Assist in developing user guides, operational procedures, training materials, and implementation documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar role within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Experience in Transaction Banking is required.
  • Experience in Trade Finance products and processes is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of trade finance products such as Import/Export Letters of Credit, Guarantees, SBLCs, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain or Invoice Financing will be an advantage.
  • Experience in digital banking, client channels, or trade platform implementations is desirable.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience preparing business requirements, user stories, process flows, use cases, and test documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different functions, cultures, and geographical locations.
