Job Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating LNG vessel operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maritime transportation activities. The incumbent will manage vessel scheduling, voyage execution, stakeholder coordination, bunker planning, charter party operations, claims management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operation and coordinationof vessels to minimize demurrage and optimise cargo flexibility
- Communicate with vessels, vessel owners/operators andshipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals.
- Co-ordinating bunkering plan and agency appointment.
- Strategise and schedule vessels jointly with LNGCharterer, Trading and Operations teams, and coordinate with internal teams tofacilitate trading and operations of vessels.
- Assess and escalate commercial impact of scheduledeviations or delays.
- Monitor vessel performance, prepare daily reports andhighlights, and calculate and manage claims.
- Optimize LNG loading and/or unloading and ensure allnecessary operational information is communicated effectively.
- Manage vessel vetting/nomination, send voyage orders,heel management and monitor all ship operational matters.
- Handling 3rd parties charter out operational matters
- Handle hire payments and account reconciliation withowners.
- Resolve any LNG shipping operations issues.
- Prepare month-end reports based on LNG team’s needs.
- Ensure ships adhere to international maritimeregulations
- Any other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies,Nautical Studies or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in LNG ShippingOperations experience with oil majors/ trading house.
- Any sea-going experience on tanker vessels isadvantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of multi-commodityshipping operations.
- Good knowledge in Time Charter Party.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, databases andpresentations.
- Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation andpresentation skills.
- Team player and able to work independently.
