Job Description
Casework,group work & community practice:
- Handle cases related enquiry from clients and the community.
- Supporting needs, intake, and financial assessments for families
- Assist social worker in casework assessment and intervention.
- Gathering information on post-18 resources and supporting transition planning discussions with families of graduating clients
- Responding to crisis situations according to SAAC's standard operating procedures
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and audits within your area of practice
Administration& scheme management:
- Managing admissions administration — scheduling parent interviews, collating reports, and liaising with SG Enable, SPED schools, other SSAs, MOE, and MSF
- Administering the Enabling Transport Subsidy scheme end-to-end, including means-testing, data record-keeping, submissions to SG Enable/NCSS/MSF, and liaison with parents and the bus vendor
- Maintaining admissions and means-testing data in the Centre's Student and Client Management System
- Performing department administrative duties, including minute-taking, correspondence handling, and budget monitoring
Job Specifications
- Diploma in Social Work preferred; other diplomas, or a Certificate in Community and Social Services with relevant social service experience, will also be considered
- A good grasp of details, timelines, and processes, with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in a disability or special needs setting is a bonus, but not required. A genuine interest in contributing to the sector matters more
- Passion for supporting persons with autism, their caregivers, and their families. Building rapport with adults is as central to this role as connecting with clients
A collaborative team player with good communication skills, able to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
