Occupational Therapist – Locum & Permanent

Locum: Up to $75/hour | Flexible Hours
Permanent: Up to $6,500/month | Monday–Friday

Our client is seeking qualified Occupational Therapists for both Locum and Permanent positions.

This is a meaningful opportunity for Occupational Therapists who enjoy working with seniors and want to make a difference beyond traditional clinical care, supporting residents to maintain their independence, functional abilities and quality of life.

Working Hours:
Locum: Flexible working hours
Permanent: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ functional abilities and occupational performance.
• Plan and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
• Develop appropriate rehabilitation goals based on residents’ needs and abilities.
• Monitor residents’ progress and modify intervention plans accordingly.
• Support residents in improving or maintaining independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment, assistive devices and environmental modifications where required.
• Educate residents, caregivers and nursing staff on safe techniques and strategies to support independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress records.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic resident care.

Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).

Possess a valid AHPC Practicing Certificate with Full Registration.

Prior experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or community care settings is advantageous.

For Locum positions, candidates should be able to commit to the required assignment schedule.
