Retail assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly and service-oriented Retail Assistant to support the daily operations of our retail outlet. The candidate will be responsible for serving customers, handling cashier duties, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring products are well stocked and presented.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend to walk-in customers and provide excellent customer service
• Recommend products and assist customers with their purchases
• Handle cashiering duties and payment transactions
• Pack cakes and products carefully for customers
• Replenish stocks and monitor inventory levels
• Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the retail outlet
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Coordinate with kitchen and operations team for stock replenishment
• Support festive promotions and operational activities when required

Requirements

• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Customer service oriented and well groomed
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Responsible and punctual
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Retail or F&B experience is an advantage

Preferred Skills

• Cashiering or POS system experience
• Basic product knowledge and upselling skills
• Good teamwork and multitasking ability

Working Hours

• 5–6 days work week
• Shift work including weekends and public holidays
• Overtime may be required during festive periods
