About this job

About Thereafter

Thereafter Pte. Ltd. is an estate planning and Wills drafting company. In addition to our core work in estate planning, we are developing a media and educational content initiative focused on helping the public better understand topics surrounding personal finance, financial markets, investing, business, wealth and estate planning.

We believe that complex information should be made more understandable and accessible. Our content initiative brings together research, current affairs, financial literacy and professional insights to create educational content for a wider audience.

We are looking for intellectually curious and proactive interns who are interested in researching global developments and translating complex ideas into engaging content.

About the Internship

This is a research, media and content development internship designed for individuals who are interested in the intersection of:

  • Global financial markets

  • Investing and financial literacy

  • Personal finance

  • Business and economic developments

  • Wealth and estate planning

  • Research and media

  • Content creation

Interns will be involved in researching publicly available information and developing educational content across multiple platforms for Thereafter's media and content initiatives.

This is not a traditional internship where you will simply be given routine administrative tasks. You will be encouraged to develop your own understanding of current developments, identify relevant stories and topics, and explore ways to communicate them meaningfully to an audience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research Global Markets & Financial Developments

Research and monitor publicly available developments relating to:

  • Global financial markets

  • Macroeconomic developments

Interns may be required to:

  • Monitor relevant news and developments

  • Conduct independent background research

  • Analyse publicly available information for educational and content development purposes

  • Prepare concise research briefs and market summaries

  • Assist in translating research into audience-friendly content

2. Personal Finance & Investment Education Content

Research and develop educational content surrounding topics such as:

  • Personal finance fundamentals

  • Saving and long-term financial planning concepts

  • Investing concepts and financial markets

  • Stocks, bonds, ETFs and other publicly discussed investment instruments

  • Inflation, interest rates and other economic concepts

  • Understanding financial news

  • Long-term wealth and financial planning concepts

The focus is on helping audiences understand financial concepts and publicly available information, rather than providing personalised recommendations or advice.

3. Content Creation for Thereafter's Media Initiatives

Interns will play an active role in the development of Thereafter's media and educational content.

Depending on their strengths and interests, interns may be involved in creating:

  • Short-form videos

  • Articles and written explainers

  • Social media content

  • Infographics and educational visuals

  • Market and news summaries

  • Podcasts and interview content

  • Research-based educational content

  • Other media concepts and formats

Interns will be encouraged to contribute ideas and develop content concepts that can make complex subjects more interesting and accessible to the public.

4. Estate Planning & Business Succession Content

Interns will also have the opportunity to learn about and create educational content relating to:

  • Wills and estate planning concepts

  • Succession planning

  • Probate and estate administration concepts

  • Business succession and continuity

  • Family and ownership considerations

  • The relationship between wealth, business interests and succession

This provides interns with an opportunity to explore a multidisciplinary subject area that sits at the intersection of law, business, personal wealth and family planning.

5. Professional Exposure & Learning Opportunities

Depending on availability and suitability, selected interns may have opportunities to participate in:

  • Internal learning sessions

  • Educational sessions with industry professionals

Potential areas of professional exposure may include:
