Network Engineer (L1) – Cisco / CCNA | Tampines

We are looking for Network Engineers (L1) to join our Network Operations team supporting a large enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on network support role suitable for candidates who are building their career in Cisco networking, routing & switching, network operations and troubleshooting.

Candidates with 6 months or more of relevant networking experience are welcome to apply.

Work Arrangement

• Location: Tampines, East Singapore
• 12-month renewable contract
• 2 positions available
• This is an onsite role
• Occasional OT/after-hours support may be required for planned network changes, maintenance or project activities
• Off-in-lieu will be provided for applicable OT

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 onsite support for network infrastructure and network equipment
• Perform day-to-day BAU network operations and support network projects
• Configure, install, test and troubleshoot network devices
• Support Cisco routers and switches
• Monitor network availability, performance, bandwidth and alerts
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLAN, connectivity, switch, router, port and link-related issues
• Support network migration, implementation and deployment activities
• Perform basic network configuration changes and break/fix activities
• Respond to network incidents and perform initial troubleshooting
• Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 Network Engineers
• Coordinate with vendors and senior engineers for troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Liaise with end users during network troubleshooting
• Support internal change requests, configuration changes and planned downtime activities
• Work with implementation engineers and project managers for network deployments
• Perform infrastructure checks and network monitoring
• Maintain network configurations, documentation and operational records
• Follow established network processes, SOPs and change procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of relevant hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Network Support, Network Operations or NOC support
• CCNA certification
• Basic hands-on knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and VLAN
• Understanding of routers, switches and network connectivity
• Good network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in an onsite network operations environment
• Able to coordinate with L2/L3 engineers, vendors, project teams and end users
• Able to support occasional OT/after-hours activities when required
• Banking experience is an advantage but not mandatory
