Role
The Accounting Lead is responsible for the end-to-end service quality and client experience of an assigned portfolio of clients. This role bridges hands-on technical delivery with team oversight, acting as the primary accountability holder for client satisfaction, SLA compliance, and service recovery within their squad.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with the General Manager / Directors to onboard new compliance clients across the Group, driving adoption of cloud accounting technologies such as Xero and QuickBooks Online.
- Oversee accounting, finance, and administrative work at client premises, ensuring quality and consistency across engagements.
- Review and sign off on compliance work prepared by Senior Accounts Executives and Junior Accounts Executives; provide coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance to the team.
- Take ownership of bookkeeping review, financial statement compilation, corporate tax preparation, and GST submissions across the client portfolio.
- Ensure Group-wide compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and all relevant regulatory requirements, escalating and resolving technical accounting issues as they arise.
- Report to senior management (e.g., Directors) and be based at Singapore office.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying and driving new business opportunities across the Group.
- Manage staff allocation, workload distribution, and capacity planning within the team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members as the Group scales.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accountancy, Degree in Accounting, or ACCA
- At least 3 years of working experience handling and reviewing full sets of accounts, payroll processing, GST, and corporate tax
- relevant experience in a CSP environment preferred
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients across diverse industries
- Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, CPF, GST, and relevant tax rules
Skills
- Technology-savvy with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and XERO
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Resilient, able to work independently and organise the team to deliver under tight deadlines
- Acts as an effective liaison among key stakeholders (clients, squad, management)
- Proactive mindset — thinks ahead to prevent issues rather than just react
- Comfortable handling difficult client conversations and service recovery situations
