Assistant Infant Educator

Job Description

1 Custodial Care

· Assist Infant Educators in the supervision of Infants in the indoor and outdoor.

· Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.

· Ensure safety and well-being of infant at all times.

· Comfort infant when in distress

· Attend to infant’s basic needs by feeding them, showering, diaper changing and napping

· Assist infants during activities conducted by Infant Educators

· Supervise and monitor infants in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.

· Assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities, materials and equipment.

· Assist in preparation of milk and lunch for Infants

2 Environment

· Ensure classroom, equipment and facilities are clean, well-maintained, safe and secure at all times.

· Perform basic cleaning duties such as disinfecting toys and equipment or cleaning up areas after mealtimes or snacks.

· Be familiar with emergency procedures.
