User Project Manager

⇒ Role Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated and delivery-focused User Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across the Cards, Payments and Personal Loans business. The role will support a diverse portfolio of clients' products, payments, scheme and business initiatives.

Acting as a bridge between Business, Operations and Technology, you play a pivotal role to translate business needs into practical solutions and drive end-to-end delivery aligned with strategic objectives, programme commitments and customer needs.

Beyond delivery, you will drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience, processes and delivery outcomes, ensuring initiatives create lasting value beyond project closure.

⇒ Main Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of client-related strategic business and technology initiatives across the Cards, Payments and Personal Loans portfolio, which may include product launches and refreshes.
• Manage project scope, plans, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and governance to support successful execution.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards, with appropriate oversight of milestones, dependencies and key decisions.
• Oversee business testing activities for initiatives, including test planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) defect management and business sign-off, to ensure solutions meet business requirements and agreed programme specifications.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and proactively manage related risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions.
• Ensure smooth end-to-end implementation of strategic initiatives, including readiness planning, deployment support, post-implementation validation and stabilisation activities.
• Facilitate project discussions, status meetings and stakeholder communications to maintain progress and support timely resolution of issues.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between client and the Bank to support effective project delivery.
• Collaborate with regional teams and external partners, as required, to support effective delivery and alignment with broader programme objectives.
• Support other project, business or operational initiatives within the portfolio as may be assigned from time to time, in line with evolving business, programme and departmental priorities.

⇒ Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in project management, business implementation, business analysis or change delivery within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Proven experience supporting Cards, Payments, Personal Loans, Rewards and Digital Banking projects.
• Strong understanding of the project delivery lifecycle, including business requirements, UAT, implementation and post-implementation support.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Business, Technology and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
• Familiarity with card management systems, payment processing platforms or Cards and Payments systems would be advantageous.
• Working knowledge of card products, payment ecosystems and external partner delivery models would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong delivery mindset and attention to detail.
