Job Summary
Plan and execute CNC machining operations by interpreting engineering drawings, programming machines, verifying output quality, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Plan machining processes by analyzing engineering drawings to understand general dimensions and tolerances
- Program CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, and setting tools and parameters accurately
- Operate and manage all CNC machine mechanisms to ensure proper function and output
- Verify machine settings and first-off parts by measuring and comparing them against engineering drawings for quality assurance
- Maintain safe operation and handling of CNC machines at all times to prevent accidents and ensure workplace safety
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines to sustain optimal performance and reduce downtime
