Business Support Engineer – Technical Operations

We’re hiring a Business Support Engineer for a 12-month contract (renewable) with a leading global technology company in Singapore. This role sits within a technical operations team supporting payment products and key enterprise customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and troubleshoot daily technical support tickets, including prioritisation, triage and escalations
• Investigate customer issues across APIs, SQL, integrations and payment systems
• Debug technical issues and work with Product and Engineering teams to drive resolution
• Monitor system alerts and identify issues before they impact customers
• Manage multiple high-priority cases while ensuring critical issues are escalated appropriately
• Identify recurring issues and create runbooks and troubleshooting guides
• Support ongoing projects and new product/payment launches
• Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• 4–7 years of experience in Software Engineering, Technical Support, Product Support, Developer Support, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar technical operations role
• Hands-on experience with SQL, REST APIs and at least one programming language such as Python, Java or Shell
• Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience working within a ticketing/case management environment
• Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Experience coordinating with Product, Engineering and external customers
• Technology or FinTech experience preferred; payments experience is a plus
