Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is a well established solutions provider based in Singapore and they are looking for a passionate, results-driven Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.

What You Will Do

As a core member of their infrastructure team, you will ensure the reliability and security of critical systems. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Deployment & Maintenance: Assisting in the installation, configuration, and upkeep of servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions.
• Operations & Troubleshooting: Conducting daily health checks, monitoring alerts, and performing fundamental troubleshooting for OS, server, and storage issues.
• Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors during implementations, and escalating complex incidents to senior engineers when necessary.
• System Testing: Supporting crucial testing activities, including SAT, UAT, failover, and backup recovery tests.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate asset inventories, system diagrams, and SOPs while strictly adhering to security policies and change management processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Supporting automation initiatives and participating in a rotational standby roster for after-hours support.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer/Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 4+ years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure.
• Core Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of servers, operating systems, storage/backup principles, and virtualization.
• Bonus Points: Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge in Technical Stack & Skills:
• OS & Virtualization: VMware vSphere / ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux
• Hardware: Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant
• Storage & Backup: SAN (Fibre Channel/iSCSI), NAS (NFS/SMB), Veeam Backup & Replication
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Scripting & Automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell, IaC, Configuration Management
• Cloud: IaaS, Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)
