Teacher Aide (Math & Science Lab) - MOE Primary School (Job Reference: TSTSNE-2026-08-002)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and dependable Teaching Aide - Math & Science Lab & Makerspace cum Admin Assistant to support the daily operations of the Science Laboratory and Math, while providing administrative support in an MOE Primary School near Punggol MRT. . You will work closely with the HOD/LH-Science, Vice Principal, Administration Managers/Executives, and School Leaders to ensure the smooth operation of the school's laboratory, CCA activities, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare Science apparatus for experiments and Mathematics manipulatives for lessons.

2. Keep Science apparatus and Mathematics manipulatives after lessons.

3. Assist the HOD/Science and HOD/Mathematics to develop a stock list for stocktaking, do stock taking of both Science apparatus and Mathematics Manipulatives and maintain the stock list after yearly stock taking.

4. Organise the return and collection of Math and Science desk copies by teachers on an annual basis.

5. Pack the Math and Science resources neatly in Math cupboards and in the Science laboratories respectively.

6. Perform simple, non-technical repairs and minor maintenance of equipment, teaching aids and manipulatives where appropriate (e.g., reattaching loose parts, tightening fittings, replacing simple components and repairing storage/resource materials).

7. Work with teachers to create simple manipulatives and/or any other materials as required in support of the Math and Science Departments programmes.

8. Support the Math and Science Departments in preparation for recess activities.

9. Support photo-taking for Math and Science programmes, activities and the development of teaching and learning resources.

10. Work with teachers to take simple Math and/or Science teaching videos for use as teaching and learning resources.

11. Provide administrative support as deployed by the school.

Job Requirements

• Preferably has experience working in a school environment in particular, providing Science and Mathematics related support.

• Good communication and inter-personal skills

• Able to use basic MS Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Able to work and achieve work goals independently, while pro-actively seeking clarification when needed.

Employment Details

Contract Period: From 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

• Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hour lunch break

• Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
