Application Engineer (SCADA / Automation & Controls)

• Working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, configure and support SCADA systems including HMI graphics, alarms, trends and reports

• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs and third-party devices

• Configure and work with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL

• Perform system integration, application configuration, testing and troubleshooting

• Prepare and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

• Investigate system faults, perform root cause analysis and carry out fault rectification

• Support system testing, commissioning and technical activities at project sites

• Provide technical support, user training and knowledge transfer to customers

• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, customers, vendors and other stakeholders

• Prepare technical reports, manuals and relevant project documentation
  

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or related discipline

• Experience or knowledge in SCADA systems and relational databases (RDBMS)

• Familiarity with MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other SQL databases

• Knowledge or experience in SCADA integration with PLCs, RTUs or industrial devices will be advantageous

• Experience in system integration, testing, commissioning or troubleshooting will be an added advantage

• Knowledge of C, C# or C++ programming/scripting will be advantageous

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
