ASSISTANT RESEARCH ENGINEER

This role is integral to a pioneering research project focused on advancing geotechnical investigation and monitoring techniques in the geotechnical engineering sector. The position requires a combination of lab-based and field-based research.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to join our team in developing and validating a digitalise system for advanced geotechnical engineering solution. The role is research-based and requires regular time spent both in the office/lab for data analysis and in the site for field trials and system calibration.

Key Responsibilities

• Research &Development: Conduct detailed literature reviews and identify technical gaps.
• Field Execution& Data Acquisition: Plan and execute field trials on selected sites.
• Data Analysis & Correlation: Develop and validate robust correlation models.
• Digital Platform Collaboration: Collaborate with the software team on the development andtesting of a server-based online monitoring platform.
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user guide manuals.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering is required; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience: A strong interest in geotechnical engineering, site investigation, and digital monitoring technologies.
• Skills: Proficiency in data processing, statistical analysis, and technical report writing.
• Work Environment: Must be willing and able to work in both site (fieldwork for trials, calibration, and data collection) and office settings (analysis, reporting, and platform development collaboration).
