WE ARE HIRING

Chief Performance Officer

Private Members' Golf & Country Club | Singapore | Full-Time, Senior Management

About the Opportunity

An established private members' golf and country club in Singapore, currently undergoing a structured operational transformation, is creating a new senior role: Chief Performance Officer. This is a newly created, high-visibility position reporting to the Management Committee, with a mandate to build the club's performance-management function essentially from the ground up — translating governance goals into measurable outcomes across every department, and holding the organisation accountable to them. The club's identity is withheld at this stage of the search; full details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

What You Will Own

● Performance measurement and management — design and implement KPIs for every department, aligned to strategic and financial objectives, and build the data-collection infrastructure needed to track member and operational touchpoints.

● Strategic planning and alignment — work directly withthe governing management committee to translate organisational goals into measurable departmental outcomes, and lead initiatives that keep daily operations aligned with the overall strategic vision.

● Data analysis and reporting — build and maintain performance dashboards for senior leadership, and run regular (not merely annual) performance reviews across every department head, with clear recommendations on corrective action.

● Cross-departmental collaboration — foster shared ownership of performance metrics across departments, and mediate performance-related friction between teams.

● Culture and continuous improvement — open genuine feedback channels for staff and members, and actively identify and spread best practice across the organisation.

● Training, development and mentorship — build performance-management capability among department heads and staff, and mentor department leaders directly on hitting their targets.

● Stakeholder engagement — keep members and staff informed on performance and improvements in a way that builds transparency and trust.

● Governance alignment — support the governing management committee's fiduciary duties with reliable reporting, and ensure every performance activity is fully compliant with the club's constitution and by-laws.

● Innovation — track emerging trends and best practice in performance management, and adapt the KPI framework as strategy, member needs and operating conditions evolve.

What We're Looking For

● Experience building or running performance-management,operational-excellence, or business-improvement functions in any industries.

● Have understanding to design KPI frameworks and scorecards from scratch and drive adoption across multiple departments and department heads with differing priorities.

● Comfort holding difficult, evidence-based performance conversations, including managing underperformance fairly and consistently through a structured, documented process.

● Data and dashboard literacy, and the ability to turn operational data into clear, decision-ready reporting for a governing committee or board.

● High personal integrity and discretion; this role sits close to governance and will regularly handle sensitive, confidential information.

● Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with volunteer committee members, staff at all levels, and a large member base.

Who You Are

Beyond the track record above, this role is best suited to someone with genuine fire in the belly — a self-motivated, adaptable professional with a pro-growth attitude who wants to prove themselves and build a defining chapter in their career. A warm, personable manner matters as much as analytical rigour here: you'll be working face to face with committee members, department heads and a member base, not just building dashboards behind the scenes. A genuine enthusiasm for golf and club life will help you read the environment quickly, though it is not a substitute for the operational and performance-management track record above.

What's on Offer

A rare opportunity to define anew senior function from the ground up, direct exposure to and reporting line into the club's governing management committee, an attractive remuneration package, and the chance to shape the operating culture of a long-established institution during a defining period in its history. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work alongside and learn directly from some of the sharpest business minds in the golfing and enterprise-building world, serving on the club's committee and among its membership.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applications regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or any other characteristic unrelated to the requirements of the role.
