About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to oversee new equipment installation, process modifications, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support.
The role also focuses on equipment safety, regulatory compliance, project management and continuous improvement, while providing technical guidance and training to engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Modify and troubleshoot PLC programs and electrical systems.
Manage new equipment projects, including specification, purchasing, installation and commissioning.
Carry out equipment and process modifications and conduct design reviews.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis.
Provide technical training and guidance to engineers.
Support workplace Safety & Health programs and KPI achievement.
Lead investigations and ensure timely closure of Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and according to specifications.
Review vendor contracts and monitor contractor performance.
Conduct vendor service performance audits.
Work with technical teams on process improvement and equipment-related issues.
Ensure equipment and engineering activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of PLC, electrical systems and equipment troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with various motorized equipment.
Able to read and understand P&ID drawings.
Good understanding of mechanical applications and materials.
High-pressure equipment certification will be an advantage.
Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Proficient in MS Office
Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
Independent, proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving.
Able to work effectively with different teams and departments.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Innovative and analytical mindset with strong attention to workplace safety.
**5 days work week (8am-4.45pm, Mon-Fri)
