[URGENT] Network Operations Engineer (Data Centre, TCP/IP)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data centre network infrastructure on a 24/7 rotating shift.

• Monitor network alerts and respond promptly to network incidents and faults.

• Troubleshoot network issues and escalate complex cases to senior engineers when required.

• Coordinate network break-fix activities, including switch replacement, link restoration and connectivity issues.

• Work with data centre technicians on basic physical network-related activities.

• Perform routine network maintenance and operational checks.

• Maintain accurate records and prepare daily network monitoring and operations reports.

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure network issues are resolved efficiently.

• Ad hoc duties/ projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• With 1–3 years of experience in network monitoring, network operations or data centre environments.

• Good understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols, such as OSPF and BGP.

• Linux knowledge or experience is an advantage.

• CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent certification is preferred.

• Willing to work on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, or with an on-call/ standby arrangement.
