About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Finance & Admin Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance functions, including full set of accounts, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, banking, reporting and statutory matters.
The role will work closely with management, suppliers, customers, banks and external professional advisors to ensure that financial matters are handled accurately and on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and month-end closing. Handle the full set of accounts preferred.
- Prepare and post accounting entries, journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
- Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims and payment requests.
- Prepare and process payments via bank transfers, telegraphic transfers and cheques.
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, debit notes and credit notes.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Maintain accurate payment schedules and monitor outstanding payables.
- Monitor daily EUR/USD exchange rate and assist with cash flow planning.
- Liaise with banks on banking and payment matters.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing and preparation of management reports.
- Maintain accounting schedules, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, receivables and payables.
- Assist with GST reporting, audit and tax-related matters.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and other external parties when required.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Handle related incoming and outgoing mail,courier arrangements, scanning and filing.
- Provide general finance and administrative support to the team.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking or equivalent.
- At least 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Singapore accounting practices and GST.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as MYOB or equivalent.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous, organised and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
