Job Purpose

Deliver exceptional front-of-house service to customers by ensuring a warm welcome, accurate order taking, and timely table service. Represent the restaurant’s brand through professionalism and attentiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Welcome and seat guests professionally, ensuring efficient queue management and optimal table allocation during peak periods.
• Present menus confidently, introduce signature dishes and daily specials, and recommend suitable menu items to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and basic service recovery promptly, escalating complex matters to the Store-in-Charge where necessary.
• Build positive guest relationships and encourage customer engagement and online reviews.

Floor Operations & Team Leadership

• Supervise daily floor operations to ensure smooth service flow and high service standards.
• Support the Store-in-Charge in coordinating manpower deployment and table assignments.
• Lead by example and provide guidance to service staff during operational hours.
• Coach and mentor new employees on service standards, SOPs, and product knowledge.
• Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure the team is well-informed of daily promotions, reservations, and operational updates.

Restaurant Operations

• Assist in clearing and resetting tables promptly to maximise table turnover.
• Operate the POS system accurately for order taking, billing, and payment transactions.
• Ensure dining areas, service stations, pantry, and equipment remain clean, organised, and operationally ready.
• Support monthly stock counts and monitor inventory levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Operational Support & Business Performance

• Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Support promotional activities, festive events, and marketing initiatives at the restaurant level.
• Assist in achieving outlet sales targets through excellent customer service and product recommendations.
• Perform supervisory duties during assigned shifts in the absence of the Store-in-Charge.

Compliance & Team Collaboration

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, and personal grooming standards.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, customer incidents, or operational concerns promptly.
• Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to maintain seamless communication and efficient service delivery.
• Foster a positive team culture through professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 year of customer-facing experience in F&B or retail preferred
• Basic command of English and/or Mandarin to liaise with team and guests
• Physically fit; able to stand long hours as host / hostess
• Good interpersonal skills, team spirit and service mindset
• Able to commit to shift, weekend, and public holiday duties
• Well-groomed, punctual, and able to multitask under pressure
