Contract QC Technician (Medical Device Industry)

Location: East
Contract Duration: 6 Months (With potential extension depending on project requirements and individual performance)

A regulated manufacturing organisation is seeking Contract QC Technician to support incoming inspection and quality checks for raw materials, electronic and mechanical components, and finished products. This role is suitable for candidates with hands-on inspection experience who are comfortable reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection and testing of raw materials, electronic components, mechanical parts and manufactured products.
• Verify product conformity against engineering drawings, specifications, QC checklists and defined acceptance criteria.
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspection using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
• Record inspection results accurately and complete required quality documentation.
• Perform SAP system transactions following inspection and product buy-off activities.
• Inspect First Article Inspection (FAI) samples submitted by suppliers and document findings.
• Initiate Quality Notifications in SAP for non-conforming materials or products identified during inspection.
• Support segregation and documentation of conforming and non-conforming materials.
• Assist with quality-related administrative activities, including collation of Device History Records.
• Maintain proper inspection records and support general QC activities as assigned.

Who Should Apply

• Candidates with hands-on experience inspecting PCBA, electrical or mechanical components against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Individuals familiar with precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, microscopes or similar inspection equipment.
• Candidates from regulated or structured manufacturing environments who are comfortable with detailed, repetitive inspection work.

Requirements

• Min NITEC/Diploma in Electrical Engineer, Science or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience inspecting PCBA, electrical and/or mechanical components.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and inspection criteria.
• Familiarity with tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, Smartscope, pipettes, Luxo lamps, eye loupes and microscopes.
• Experience with First Article Inspection is advantageous.
• Experience using SAP or other manufacturing / quality systems will be advantageous.
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Laboratory-related experience will be advantageous.
• Detail-oriented, careful and able to maintain accurate quality records.
