Advanced Flavors & Fragrances (VKAFF) is an independent Singapore flavour house built on more than five decades of flavour creation heritage. From our facility at Senoko, we create and manufacture flavours for food and beverage brands across Asia Pacific. We are a small, senior team, which means you will work directly alongside experienced flavourists and application technologists from day one.

About the Role

As a Food Technologist Intern, you will support our Applications team in bringing flavours to life in real products. You will spend most of your time hands-on in the lab and pilot kitchen, learning how flavours behave in beverages, dairy, bakery, confectionery and savoury systems.

What You Will Do

• Prepare flavour applications and product prototypes across multiple food and beverage categories
• Support sensory evaluation sessions and record tasting observations
• Benchmark market products against our creations
• Support stability and shelf-life trials, including sample preparation and documentation
• Maintain lab inventory, raw material records and application databases
• Prepare customer samples and supporting documentation

What You Will Learn

• How flavours are created, applied and evaluated in a professional flavour house
• Practical product development across a wide range of food and beverage matrices
• Sensory evaluation methods used in the flavour industry
• How a flavour company works with regional food and beverage brands from brief to launch

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or a related field
• Genuine interest in flavours, taste and product development
• Comfortable with hands-on lab work and tasting a wide variety of products
• Organised, curious and eager to learn
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 3 months
