QUANTITY SURVEYOR

🇸🇬 Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Job Responsibilities

1. Pre-Contract Stage

• Prepare quantity take-offs based on construction drawings

• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

• Assist in the preparation and issuance of tender documents

• Analyse and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers

• Assist in contract review and negotiation

2. Construction Stage

• Prepare and review monthly progress claims

• Review and verify subcontractor and supplier payment claims

• Handle Variation Orders (VO) and conduct cost evaluations

• Monitor project costs to ensure expenditures remain within the approved budget

• Follow up on site progress and liaise with the Project Team / Site Team

• Prepare, update, and maintain cost reports

3. Post-Contract Stage

• Prepare and finalise Final Accounts

• Carry out reconciliation with Clients, Main Contractors, and Subcontractors

• Assist in handling claims, delays, and dispute matters

• Prepare and maintain proper filing of cost and contract documentation

4. Other Responsibilities

• Familiar with Singapore construction contracts (e.g. SIA / BCA)

• Assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers

• Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers

• Perform other duties as assigned by management
