Senior Maintenance Executive

Department: Operations / Facilities Management

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance services on fixed and portable painting, blasting and rotating equipment. Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Project Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities on fixed and portable painting, blasting and rotating equipment at the main workshop and across multiple operational work sites.
  • Create and review safe work procedures and work method statements for all maintenance scopes.
  • Schedule manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure work completion according to client specifications and quality standards.
  • Support maintenance shutdowns, turnaround projects, and ad hoc site maintenance activities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Contractor Management

  • Ensure contractors comply with project specifications and safety requirements.
  • Verify vendor competence for maintenance related tasks.
  • Review and approve vendor maintenance service reports.
  • Monitor and verify vendor costs.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and safe work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Monitor work-at-height, confined space, and hot work activities where applicable.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Resource & Cost Management

  • Monitor utilization of manpower, equipment, and consumables.
  • Assist in project costing, budget tracking, and cost control initiatives
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment required for projects.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure painting, blasting, and maintenance works meet client specifications and company standards.
  • Support quality inspections and documentation requirements.
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery


Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in industrial maintenance, engineering services, construction, marine, offshore, oil & gas, petrochemical, asset integrity, or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing site operations, maintenance projects, shutdowns/turnarounds, or service delivery teams.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Knowledge of coating systems, abrasive blasting, corrosion protection, tank maintenance, or related services will be an advantage.

Safety & Compliance

  • Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
  • WSQ Workplace Safety & Health certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of BizSafe requirements preferred.
  • Work-at-Height Assessor/Supervisor certification will be an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, project execution, resource planning, and operational coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP, CMMS, or project management systems will be an advantage.
