Job Description:
(1) The RTOs shall include daily monitoring of site and maintenance works and update of daily activities done by the respective Contractors as part of his job scope. They shall verify that all maintenance, repair, replacement and upgrading works are executed safely and in accordance with the approved method statements, risk assessments and specifications.
(2) The RTOs shall oversee the safety aspects of the site and maintenance works and manage the site safety with the respective Contractors. They shall enforce the agreed safe working procedures, including the Board’s in-house safety rules. In the event of any unsafe act or unsafe condition, they shall prompt the Contractors for immediate rectification or order work to be stopped should the Contractors fail to comply. All such incidents are to be recorded and raised to the Board immediately.
(3) The RTOs shall check on the quality and condition of materials, spare parts and components delivered to site and report to the Board any material that does not conform to the specifications.
(4) The RTOs shall supervise all functional checks, equipment maintenance, testing and commissioning, and acceptance tests on the site as may be necessary, including review samples submitted by Contractors, inspections and testing during manufacture of such materials, equipment and plants functional checks as specified by the respective projects and as usually inspected and tested locally before commissioning.
(5) The RTOs shall keep photographic and written records of maintenance activities, findings and follow-up actions for submission to the Board’s Engineer as part of the daily and monthly reporting requirements.
Requirements:
i) Diploma in Engineering of the related field as required, from any local Polytechnics.
Electrical RTOs - Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Mechanical RTOs - Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Instrumentation, Control & Automation RTOs - Computer Science, Computer Network & Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Have at least 3 years of recent relevant engineering experience in the supervision of site works, preferably in water or wastewater infrastructure projects, or equivalent.
