Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Waiter Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the service team and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will supervise front-of-house staff, maintain high service standards, and support the efficient operation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of waitstaff to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service throughout their dining experience.
- Assign duties, monitor staff performance, and provide coaching to maintain service excellence.
- Train and mentor new and existing service staff on company standards, service procedures, and customer engagement.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely food and beverage service.
- Assist with table reservations, seating arrangements, and service flow during peak periods.
- Monitor cleanliness and presentation of the dining area to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations, including company policies and procedures.
- Assist in inventory control of dining supplies and report replenishment requirements.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily operational reporting where required.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving customer satisfaction and operational performance targets.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a service team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and service procedures.
- Familiarity with Singapore food safety and hygiene standards.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
