Wintel Engineer (Windows, SCCM, Azure/AWS)

JOB SUMMARY

NivaBiz is seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer to support enterprise workplace and Windows infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will manage endpoint deployment, PC imaging, patch management, software distribution, Windows Server technologies, and cloud infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot endpoint hardware, operating systems, software, drivers, upgrades, updates, and hotfixes.

• Develop and maintain standard PC images and task sequences for operating-system deployment.

• Plan, implement, and support patch-management and software-distribution services.

• Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Group Policy Objects.

• Support workplace-management platforms such as HCL BigFix, Microsoft SCCM, Citrix VDI, and Nexthink.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and highly available AWS or Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Deploy and manage cloud services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions.

• Work with application and development teams to deploy cloud-based applications.

• Implement infrastructure automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, PowerShell, or other relevant tools.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, application, network, and connectivity issues.

• Implement backup, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity solutions.

• Provide backend infrastructure administration, with a strong focus on PC imaging.

• Handle escalated desktop and server issues related to workplace-management tools.

• Conduct quality-assurance testing for endpoint-device changes.

• Improve and automate daily operational processes.

• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and reports.

• Perform other related technical duties when assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least five years of relevant experience in Windows infrastructure or workplace-management environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Group Policy Objects.

• Practical experience with HCL BigFix, Microsoft SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, or similar tools.

• Strong knowledge of PC imaging, operating-system deployment, patch management, and software distribution for desktop and server devices.

• Experience working within heterogeneous enterprise technology environments.

• Knowledge of MSI technology, application packaging, and software-deployment processes is advantageous.

• Good understanding of Windows Installer technology, custom actions, scripting, and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure services and architecture.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Understanding of cloud networking and security best practices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version-control systems such as Git.

• Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Python, Shell, or other relevant languages.

• AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications will be advantageous.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

• Effective communication skills.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
