Travel Sales Consultant – Japan Travel

Work Arrangement: Work from Office, Monday to Friday

Job Responsibilities

1. Bespoke Consultation

• Handle inbound enquiries to understand clients' travel preferences, budgets and travel styles.
• Recommend suitable travel arrangements and customised travel solutions based on client requirements.
• Provide fast and accurate quotations to customers.

2. Sales Conversion

• Manage the sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to booking confirmation.
• Handle customer enquiries and objections professionally and close bookings to achieve monthly revenue targets.
• Follow up with prospective customers and maintain good customer relationships.

3. Operations & Booking

• Coordinate with Japan-based land operators and other travel suppliers to secure reservations, transportation, accommodation, guides and other travel arrangements.
• Negotiate and coordinate rates with hotels, tour operators, airlines and other relevant suppliers.
• Ensure booking information and customer requirements are accurately communicated to the relevant suppliers.

4. Client Care

• Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the booking and travel process.
• Provide pre-departure briefings and relevant travel information to customers.
• Gather post-trip feedback and maintain customer relationships to support repeat and referral business.
• Provide WhatsApp support for ongoing customer booking matters during weekends when required.

Requirements

• Good communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers and/or travel partners in the course of handling travel enquiries, quotations and booking arrangements.
• Proven ability to work towards sales targets, manage a sales pipeline and negotiate rates with hotels, tour operators, airlines or other travel-related suppliers would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of regional and international travel routes, visa requirements and destination information.
• Ability to provide fast and accurate quotations to customers.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented when handling bookings, passport information, travel requirements and special customer requests.
• Strong customer service, communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Relevant experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, customer service or sales would be advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with relevant sales internship or customer-facing internship experience are welcome to apply.

• Work from office, Monday to Friday.
• Weekend WhatsApp support may be required for ongoing customer bookings.
