Cashier

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Handle cashiering duties, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and managing cash transactions accurately.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Provide information on products, services, promotions, and customer enquiries.
• Attend to customer feedback and resolve basic issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
• Assist with bookings, reservations, registrations, or administrative tasks where required.
• Perform daily opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation.
• Support team members with general operational tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow company policies, service standards, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• Prior experience in cashiering, front desk, customer service, or retail/hospitality operations is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Customer-focused with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling customer enquiries and service requests.
