Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting electronic, communication, and IT activities by installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining devices, equipment, computers, networks, and peripherals. Assist with system setup, cabling, and technical support while ensuring safety and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install electronic devices, communication equipment, computers, networks, and peripherals to ensure proper operation
• Test and troubleshoot electronic circuits, communication systems, and IT hardware to identify and resolve faults
• Maintain and update equipment records to track maintenance and repairs
• Assist with system configuration, cabling, and connectivity to support network and device functionality
• Provide technical support to users for electronic and IT-related issues to ensure smooth operations
• Escalate complex technical problems to appropriate teams for timely resolution
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks and improve system performance
• Learn and apply new technologies and systems to enhance technical skills and support capabilities
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals to perform installation and maintenance tasks accurately

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Communications, IT, or related field

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and communication systems
• Basic computer, networking, and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with MS Office and common IT peripherals
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
