Vision Solution Engineer (Up to $6k/ Woodlands)

Position: Senior/ Vision Solution Engineer
Location: Woodlands
Remuneration: $4,500 - $6,000

We are looking for a Vision Solution Engineer to develop and optimize vision systems for inspection, measurement, and defect detection. The role involves configuring vision hardware and software, providing technical support, evaluating system performance, and applying new vision technologies to projects. Hands-on experience with HIK, OpenCV, HALCON, or Cognex VisionPro is preferred.

Job Description:

• Develop, analyze, and maintain various vision applications, including measurement, defect inspection, component presence detection, and more.
• Make decisions on the selection, procurement, installation, and maintenance of vision related components such as PCs, cameras, and lighting based on application requirements.
• Configure vision systems, including host PCs, frame grabbers, cameras, illumination, motion control, and interfaces, to achieve optimal system performance.
• Possess hands-on experience with vision software libraries/frameworks such as HIK, OpenCV, HALCON, or Cognex VisionPro.
• Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
• Evaluate and establish vision system performance specifications, as well as prepare technical documentation and conduct training.
• Explore new vision technologies and implement them in relevant projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in vision applications.
• Knowledge of vision and optical inspection systems is preferred.
• Experience in programming languages related to vision applications, such as C++, C#, or Python.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, RS-232, and camera interfaces.
• Knowledge of deep learning-based vision solutions is an added advantage.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
