General Operation Manager (Freight Forwarding/ Air Freight) MNC - RPAL

Our client is a MNC Logistics Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a General Operation Manager to support and strengthen their operations team. They are located in the Tai Seng– easily accessible.

Commercial Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and implement annual business development and sales strategies, ensuring alignment with company objectives, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
• Manage sales budgets, forecast business performance, and allocate resources effectively to maximize return on investment.
• Lead the commercial team in preparing competitive freight proposals, quotations, and tender submissions (RFI, RFP, RFQ) to secure new business opportunities and key accounts.

Operations Management & Process Excellence

• Oversee carrier and partner management, including negotiations with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and co-loaders to secure competitive rates and service levels.
• Ensure the seamless execution of end-to-end freight forwarding operations across air, ocean, and land transportation, including warehousing and customs clearance activities.
• Establish, review, and continuously improve operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cross-functional collaboration.

Leadership & Organizational Management

• Provide strategic leadership to commercial and operations teams, setting clear performance objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and talent development initiatives to foster a high-performance and accountable work culture.
• Partner closely with the Managing Director in overseeing business profitability, including P&L management, cost control, budgeting, and operational expenditure approvals.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
