CNC Machinist - Aerospace [West | Up to $3000] - WY

Job Description

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8am to 5pm, 3.30pm to 12.30am)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Salary: Up to $3,000 + AWS + VB
• Location: Clementi (Transport Provided)

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines such as Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding and Conventional machines to repair, modify and machine aircraft parts according to engineering repair documents.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions to determine machining methods, tooling requirements, and dimensional tolerances.
• Perform machine setup, tool changes, offset adjustments, and routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient and accurate repair.
• Conduct pre and post inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues, and work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to drive timely resolution.
• Perform repair, overhaul, assembly and testing in workshop when required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and proper care of tools, equipment and work areas.
• Support training, audits, QRQC, LEAN and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience
• Relevant experience in aerospace maintenance, manufacturing, precision engineering, or Part 145 repair environment will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with aviation maintenance qualifications or relevant technical certifications will have an added advantage.
• Open to work overtime or shifts if the situation dictates.
