Mechanical Engineer (Commercial)

Salary package: Basic + Allowance + OT Pay + Bonus

Location: Kent Ridge/MBS

Key Responsibilities

• Technical & Site Leadership: Serve as client-facing technical lead for site problem-solving, schedule tracking, and building services code compliance.

• Drafting & Coordination: Produce mechanical shop drawings and run spatial coordination with other trades to prevent site clashes and rework.

• Quality Assurance & Safety: Enforce ISO quality, environmental, and safety standards through rigorous inspections of supplier materials and subcontractor installations to fix non-conformances.

• Resource & Schedule Control: Track vendor delivery timelines, maintain inventory controls to minimize site material waste, and assist management with master schedule milestones.

• Productivity Improvement: Identify and adopt innovative installation methods and construction technologies to streamline site operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a contractor environment

• Chiller experience is required

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards (ISO Internal Quality Auditor certification preferred)

• Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certification
