Clinic Assistant
About this job
1. Customer Service:
- Greet and assist patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment
- Answer inquiries from patients
- Schedule appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and providing information about procedures
- Achieve at least 90% patient satisfaction
2. Appointment Coordination:
- Coordinate and schedule for appointments and surgery
- Ensure proper documentation and communication of appointment details to patients.
- Work closely with medical staff to optimise scheduling and accommodate urgent cases
3. Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and organised patient records in the system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel
- Perform data entry tasks related to patient information and billing
- Ensure contact creations, outward and inward referrals and relevant data are input accurately into Plato/ Clinic Management System
4. Billing and Insurance Verification:
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorisations for procedures
- Assist patients with claims submission
- Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges and payment options
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims
5. Coordination with Medical Staff:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate a smooth workflow.
- Ensure that patient records are accurately communicated
6. Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to monitor patient outcomes
- Maintain the highest standards of care and compliance with government regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of patient care
7. Resource Management:
- Monitor and replenish resources efficiently, including drugs, equipment, and supplies
- Manage the drugs, PPE stockpile and consumables
8. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure high standards of service.
9. Any other ad-hoc assignment
