Make an Impact:
RAN Network Security Portfolio Leadership
- Establish and define the RAN Network Security roadmap and strategy
- Govern all RAN-related security initiatives under a unified portfolio
RAN Security Monitoring & Threat Detection Program
- Lead engagement with the Regulatory Department and relevant authorities
- Drive tender preparation, contract negotiation, and execution
- Oversee system deployment, operational governance, upgrades, and enhancements
RAN Security Governance & Regulatory Compliance
Compliance Oversight
- Ensure RAN domain compliance with:
- Regulatory Department security requirements
- National telecom security directives
- Applicable 3GPP security standards
- Internal corporate security governance policies
- Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable technical implementation plans
Security Representation
Act as RAN Security Representative in:
- Regulatory reviews
- Enterprise security governance forums
- Internal and external audit engagements
Provide domain-level security risk assessments and recommendations
- Security Implementation Oversight
- Drive implementation of mandated security controls including:
- Node hardening
- Access control and privileged account governance
- Authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Review and revise RAN security configurations
- Establish secure configuration baselines
- Ensure Vendors adhere to defined security standards
Risk & Deviation Management
- Identify security gaps or non-compliances
- Conduct structured risk assessments
Server & Platform Security Compliance (Department-Owned Systems)
- Ensure servers and platforms under departmental ownership comply with:
- Corporate IT security baseline standards
- Regulatory cybersecurity requirements
Oversee implementation of:
- OS hardening and patch management
- Vulnerability management and remediation tracking
- Coordinate with IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams for vulnerability resolution and audit readiness
- Maintain asset inventory and compliance documentation
Audit & Assurance
- Lead RAN domain support for security audits
- Maintain risk registers and compliance dashboards
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- 8–12 years of experience in mobile network engineering (RAN preferred)
- Experience in:
- LTE / 5G architecture and signaling
- Network security hardening or compliance initiatives
- Regulatory-facing projects
- Vendor management and governance
- Strong understanding of LTE / 5G RAN architecture
- Knowledge of signaling security and authentication procedures
- Familiarity with IPSec, TLS, secure transport mechanisms
- Understanding of server hardening principles and vulnerability management
- Knowledge of telecom security standards and compliance frameworks
