3 months Temp Legal Counsel - (Up to $18,000)

Job Description & Requirements

• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts.
• Provide timely and practical legal advice on contractual, corporate and operational matters.
• Support the organisation on legal issues arising from business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Apply legal principles effectively across unfamiliar or evolving areas of law.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts and business practices are legally sound and aligned with organisational requirements.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate legal function and/or litigation.
• Strong background in corporate law, contract review and negotiation, with litigation experience being advantageous.
• Strong ability to analyse and apply legal principles to unfamiliar areas of law and business matters.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
• Able to provide practical, commercially sound legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Qualified lawyer with relevant legal qualifications and professional experience.
