Finance Analyst - Tax Reporting (Bank, Contract) UID: 2269

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution and delivery of the GST Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP).
• Review existing GST processes, controls and documentation to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Document end-to-end GST processes and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain supporting documentation and evidence required for ACAP.
• Work closely with Group Tax and business stakeholders throughout the ACAP implementation process.
• Ensure timely completion of the ACAP project.
• Prepare quarterly GST returns and supporting schedules.
• Perform GST analysis on business transactions to ensure accurate GST treatment.
• Assist in responding to queries from IRAS and coordinate the preparation of supporting documentation.
• Undertake other ad hoc tax and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking or the financial services industry.
• Hands-on experience in Singapore GST, indirect tax or tax compliance.
• Good understanding of Singapore GST regulations.
• Prior exposure to ACAP implementation would be advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business or a related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• GST-related industry certifications would be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
