Job Purpose
The PM, CM and operations will be carried out by the in-house teams with certain activities outsourced toVendors. TO may be assigned as Person-In-Charge (PIC) to monitor Vendors when performing their assignedtasks.
TO shall carry out the PM, CM & Operation of STMV, Locomotives and Wagons. TO shall be responsible andaccountable for his / her works and the Vendors’ works. All works shall be carried out in accordance with therelevant Quality Procedures, Maintenance Manuals, Work Instructions, Work Safety Procedures, LTArequirements, Railway Operation procedures and Contracts Specifi cation (for outsource work). All of ETB’sequipment and the associated peripherals shall be eff ectively and effi ciently maintained to the requiredoperational, reliable and safety standards to achieve the key objectives of the Branch.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain & Operate the STMVs, Locomotives & Wagons as per procedures.
2. Monitor the Vendors for outsourced works under his charge.
3. Carry out the day-to-day maintenance, operation, and administration activities of ETB.
4. Ensure that the latest version of work instructions/procedures, RA, Circulars and are used.
5. Meet the set KPIs and maintain high level of productivity and quality.
6. Attend daily Toolbox meeting conducted by AE.
7. Subjected to regular safety inspection/audit at worksites to ensure compliance to safety procedures.
8. Regularly review the requirement of maintenance tools, equipment, spares and if needed, inform AE or EMMfor procurement in a timely manner.
9. Participate in the inspection of assets for defects punch-listing and review of the defects punch-list.
10. Assist AE in mentoring new staff during their Supervised Field Training (SFT).
Qualifications & Work Experience
- NITEC / NTC 3 / Higher NITEC in the following discipline: Aerospace / Automotive / Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanical / Mechatronic / Microelectronic / Rapid Transit / Marine / Robotics.
- Preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy/industrial equipment operation ormaintenance.
Skills
In addition, those with experience in welding, non-destructive testing, Quality Assurance/Control and thefollowing skills, attitude and knowledge will have added advantage:
- Ability to manage and lead a team of Vendors’ Supervisors/Workers working toward the department’sobjectives.
- Able to work independently and with all levels of staff .
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and result-oriented.
