MOE-Registered Choral Director / Choir Instructor (Elite Freelance Roster)

The Opportunity: Join Our Elite Freelance Roster At The Skillvantage Hub LLP, we partner with Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) schools to deliver exceptional Co-Curricular Activities (CCA). We are currently recruiting highly qualified Vocal Coaches, Choir Instructors and Choral Directors to join our exclusive freelance instructor pool.

Key Responsibilities

As a placed instructor, your duties will include:

• Curriculum Design: Lesson outline provided, may need to improvise the given plan. 6 to 8 lessons per month.

• Vocal Development: Enabling students to develop vocal production, musical expression, harmonization, proper vocal technique, and healthy vocal practices.

• Performance Preparation: Selecting appropriate and diverse repertoire to coach students for school-sanctioned performances and competitions like the SYF Arts Presentation.

• Assessment: Conducting assessments of technical learning outcomes for choral singing.

• Holistic Education: Collaborating with CCA Teachers to develop students' passion, motivate them, and equip them with essential music skills and values.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for our elite instructor pool, you must meet the following criteria:

• MOE Registration: All Instructors must be registered with the Ministry of Education (Mandatory).

• Music Qualifications: Minimum ABRSM / Trinity Guildhall Grade 6 in both music theory and practical, or equivalent. It is preferable that the proposed instructor has played the piano for 3 years.

• Experience: Preferably at least 2 years of coaching experience with secondary school students in a Choir CCA Training Programme.

• Track Record: Practical experience in teaching music theory, sight-reading, vocal techniques, and preparing choirs for competitions and public performances.

• Right to Work: If the Instructor is not a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, they must possess a valid Employment Pass.
