Job responsibilities:
Cost Management & Forecasting
Establish and maintain the Project Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), control budget and cost management processes.
Monitor project performance against budget and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
Prepare and maintain EAC, cash flow forecasts and monthly project forecasts.
Ensure commitments, accruals, actual costs and forecasts are accurately captured and reported.
Recommend corrective actions to improve project financial performance.
Risk, Change & Commercial Management
Lead cost risk and opportunity management activities.
Quantify the financial impact of risks, opportunities and scope changes.
Support Contract Team in change management processes.
Ensure approved and pending changes are reflected in project forecasts.
Reporting & Decision Support
Prepare monthly cost reports, management dashboards and executive summaries.
Provide clear visibility of project financial status, forecast outcomes and key risks.
Support project reviews, management reviews and gate reviews.
Project Integration
Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, Contracts and Finance to ensure forecast alignment.
Challenge cost performance, forecast assumptions and resource plans where necessary.
Project Close-Out
Support project financial close-out and final account settlement.
Ensure all financial obligations, commitments and exposures are accounted for prior to project close-out.
Work experience requirements:
Minimum 15 years' experience in project controls, cost management or commercial management within major EPC/EPCI projects.
Demonstrated experience as Cost Manager, Lead Cost Controller or equivalent on large and complex oil & gas, offshore, FPSO or energy projects.
Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasts, EAC, cash flow and change management for major EPC projects.
Strong understanding of EPC execution including engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
Experience in cost forecasting, trend management, risk management and project performance reporting.
Strong understanding of project contracts, commercial models and project governance.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting / Engineering.
Other skills:
Experience with SAP and project control systems used for forecasting and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration capabilities, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and with minimal supervision.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality, accountability, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
Results-oriented with a proactive approach and commitment to open and direct communication.
