Job Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Associate Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing facility systems. The successful candidate will work closely with facilities, equipment, process, and engineering teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of critical facility infrastructure supporting a high-volume wafer fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot facility systems to ensure continuous semiconductor manufacturing operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned facilities equipment and systems to maintain operational reliability
- Respond promptly to equipment and system alarms or breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring facility issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor facility parameters to ensure systems operate within specifications and comply with safety requirements
- Support installation, commissioning, qualification, modification, and upgrade of facilities systems and equipment
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to execute maintenance, repair, installation, and improvement projects
- Review equipment and system performance data to identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, operating procedures, engineering documentation, and reports
- Participate in engineering projects, capacity expansions, facility upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety (EHS), cleanroom, operational, and company standards
- Provide technical support to production and engineering teams and coordinate issue resolution across stakeholders
- Participate in on-call or shift support arrangements as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Facilities Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- 2–5 years of hands-on facilities engineering or maintenance experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication or high-volume manufacturing environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to independently perform root cause analysis
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
- Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contractors
- Proactive, hands-on, and safety-conscious approach to engineering and maintenance tasks
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working with critical facility systems in semiconductor fabs, cleanroom environments, plant utilities, or critical infrastructure in high-volume manufacturing
